Minister: Jerry Culbertson

 

Jerry and Kathy Culbertson have been partners in ministry since 1977.  A former police officer at the local, county and state level, Jerry entered preaching school (CCP/HSBS) at Harding University Searcy, AR., in 1977.  Kathy has taught school at the elementary, middle and high school levels and is currently a certified counselor for all three divisions.  Jerry and Kathy come to Sheridan from Gainesville, Florida where he preached for the Campus Church of Christ, and Kathy was the International Baccalaureate Counselor at Eastside High School.

 Jerry received the Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Administration from Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, MO. in 1974.  He was awarded the Master of Arts in Religion from Harding Graduate School of Religion in Memphis, TN., in 1983.  Subsequent degrees from Harding Graduate School came in 1996, (Master of Divinity) and 2000 (Doctor of Ministry).  Jerry has served churches in Arkansas, Washington State, Alabama, Missouri, and Florida. His hobbies include sports, archaeology, and piloting a single-engine aircraft. 

 Jerry and Kathy have two grown children—Joshua is married to the former Jennifer Lewis of Birmingham and they have two children (Sam and Katie).  They reside in Vestavia Hills, Alabama.  Sarah lives in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.  Sarah will be wed to Corey Campbell on May 20th 2006.
